The Conseil Regional Des KSI Jamates De L’ocean Indien - (CROI) in collaboration with the Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) has organized Alim’s Seminar from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May 2014 in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

The Seminar is being hosted by KSI Jamaat of Antananarivo and CROI in Antananarivo whereby Resident Alims from Jamaats in Madagascar and Reunion will participate. This Seminar has been tailored to cover vital subjects, these will be deliberated fully be the participating Resident Alims. All Jamaats in Madagascar and Reunion have been informed.

There are 15 Jamaats under Conseil Regional in Madagascar and 4 Jamaats under the Union Des Associations Khodjas Shia Isnashri De La Reunion.

The Seminar will be conducted by Sheikh Komeil Rajani from Qum, Iran and will be assisted by the Chairman of AFTAB, Seyed Hassan Naqvi.

The Secretariat commends CROI for taking this initiative and prays for the success of the Seminar.

The World Federation Madrasah Centre of Excellence

Consultation Program – 9th February 2014 – Dar-es-Salaam

The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) had an opportunity to host a Consultation Program of the Madrasah Centre of Excellence in Dar-es-Salaam on Sunday 9th February 2014 which was attended by 54 persons from 11 Jamaats in Africa who are involved in the Madaris of their Jamaats.

AFTAB in conjunction with Nairobi SAAJ organised seminars on the 13th, 14th and 15th of September 2013 at the Imambargha of the Nairobi Jaffery Islamic Centre. The seminars held were on the following modules:

1) In laws Workshop

2) Parents of Teens Workshop

3) Recently married couples workshop

The Marriage Workshop had been previously held in Nairobi in 2011 and had received excellent reviews from participants. In laws and Parents of teens workshops were first timers in Nairobi.

All the three seminars were generally quite interactive and discursive with a fair amount of self discovery and self reflection. All the workshops were facilitated by Abbas Merali.
