We wish to inform our community members that the Islamic Laws English Version of Tawdhihul Masael Third Edition is available on sale at the Tabligh Bookstore of the KSI Jamaat Dar-es-Salaam (opposite our Mosque on Indira Gandhi Street).
This edition of 767 pages is according to the Fatwas of His Eminence Ayatullah al-Sayyid Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani (Based on his 32nd Edition) and comprises of rulings pertaining to both ‘Ritual Acts of Worship’ and ‘Transactions’.

This is a new Annotated translation by Sheikh Mohammed Ali Ismail.

The Africa Federation (AFED) in pursuing its vision and goals for the term 2016-2019 has decided to collect data (Census) which will provide basis and assist us significantly in forward planning of our community in Africa in areas such as economic development, education, housing etc. thus the Census Bureau has been formed with the appointment of Alhaj Shiraz P. Walji of Dar-es-Salaam as Head of the AFED Census Bureau in May 2018.

The World Federation is organizing the second Khoja Heritage Tour as part of our Khoja Heritage Project, the tour this year is specifically for the younger community members of between the ages of 25-45 years and will take place from 20th to 30th December 2018. 
This heritage tour will allow participants to reconnect with our roots and understand what hardships our forefathers faced in order to become the followers of the Ahlul Bayt (as). Taking a step back in time, we will trace the footsteps of our illustrious ancestors to appreciate who we really are and where we come from. 
The basic tour details are as follows:

  • Dates: 20th to 30th December 2018
  • Ground cost: US $ 799 USD per individual (Includes the registration fee of US $ 50 by 15th July, but does not include visa, flights, health insurance and any other pre-arrival expenses)

The Africa Federation Tabligh Board Chairman has appointed Br. Mubashir Sheriff as the Vice Chairman of the Board following the migration by Br. Zishan Somji to Iran to pursue further Islamic Education.
Mubashir is a student completing his final year degree in Dental Surgery at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and is also the current Chairman of the National and International Affairs of the Tanzania Dental Students Association.
Brought up in Arusha, his initial experience in the community consisted of various endeavours including the Youth Development Committee, KSIJ Arusha Madrasah, and being an avid member of the Kilimeru Sports Club.
Following his move to Dar es Salaam to pursue his post-secondary education, Mubashir continued his support and involvement in the community, beginning as a Development Society member and growing to become a Patron of the Students Council. He then moved on to work on many projects under the Africa Federation Tabligh Board and Project North Star under World Federation.
