The Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi is pleased to reappoint Alhaj Mohsin Mohamedtaki Abdullah Lalji, popularly known as Sheni as Chairman of the Central Bilal Board (CBB) of the Africa Federation. Alhaj Mohsin was appointed to head the CBB in November 2012 in the last term; 2010-2013.
Mohsin bhai was born and raised in Kigoma, where his late father, Alhaj Mohamedtaki Abdullah Lalji served as Chairman of KSI Jamaat of Kigoma and also as Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission, Kigoma Branch for several years. His late father devoted much of his time and resources in services to the community and in promoting the Madh’ab of Ahlulbayt (AS) in Kigoma.
Brief Profile:
Mohsin bhai is a successful businessman operating several companies in Dar es Salaam and Kigoma in Tanzania. He is a keen social worker following the footsteps of his late father. His services extends beyond our community, he is involved in several institutions in the country, in the field of Tableegh, Education and in National Organizations.
Mohsin bhai is currently the Chairman of Ahlulbayt Islamic Center of Kigoma. The Centre was established with the cooperation and assistance of Sheikh Abdulwahid Abeyat. The Ahlulbayt Islamic Center encompasses the Education Complex which has Aunali Nursery School, Shabbir Primary School, and Secondary School, Form 1 to From V1, imparting both, secular and religious education.
Mohsin bhai has been actively involved with Bilal Muslim Mission activities in Kigoma for the past many years. He was instrumental in bringing all the organizations to work together i.e. KSI Jamaat of Kigoma, The Bilal Muslim Mission, Kigoma Branch, Darul Huda & Islamic Center, and Ahlulbayt Islamic Center. These institutions work hand-in-glove in collaboration to promote the Mission’s vision, and the teaching of Ahlulbaiyt (A.S.) in Kigoma region and the results are encouraging.
Mohsin bhai has served as National Executive Committee Member of the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi from 2007 to 2012. He has also served as a Trustee on the Tanzania National Parks Board of Trustees. He served as Chairman of Mitumba Dealers Association of Tanzania. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Hunting and Outfitters Association and Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Professional Hunters Association.
Alhaj Mohamedraza Masumali Dewji is appointed as Vice Chairman of the Central Bilal Board (CBB)
A renowned and successful businessman in Dar es Salaam, involved in transport industry and operates a large fleet of heavy duty trucks, trailers and bulk cargo transportation to several destinations in mainland Tanzania and to other parts of Africa.
Inspired by his father, Late Alhaj Masumali Hasham Dewji, who served as President of Singida Jamaat, an avid helper to the local community, Late Masumali philanthropist gestures was not confined only to Singida but extended to many parts of the country. Alhaj Mohamedraza Dewji is keen to follow the footsteps of his late father.
Born and raised in Singida, Alhaj Mohamedraza Dewji studied in Kenya. He then moved to Dar es Salaam in 1990. He is a social worker and is involved in several private humanitarian support activities.
Alhaj Mohamedraza is keen to work towards developing the external Tableegh activities of the Africa Federation to uplift the standards to a good stature and to promote the local Shia community in areas such as economic, religion, education along with Islamic and family values.
Alhaj Inayat Alidina is reappointed as Secretary of the Central Bilal Board (CBB)
We are also pleased to announce the reappointment of Alhaj Inayat Alidina as Secretary of the Central Bilal Board (CBB). Inayat Bhai was appointed Hon. Secretary of CBB in November 2012 in the last term, 2010-2013.
Inayat bhai has served as Hon. Secretary of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania from 1998 to 2003. He has also been the Executive Secretary of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, based at the Head Quarters in Dar es Salaam.
Inayat bhai’s community services go back to many years, he served as the Hon. Secretary of the Central Medical Board (CMB) of Dar es Salaam Jamaat and also of the Central Health Board (CHB) of the Africa Federation.
Between 1992 to 1996, he served as the Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer of Husseini Madressah Boys Section, under KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam.
Inayat bhai is a successful businessman and presently operates a family business enterprise in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He brings with him vast experience and knowledge in the administration and management, having keen interest in the Tableegh activities, and passion in developing a sound management and operating systems in Bilal Muslim Mission.
The Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi and the Office Bearers of Africa Federation extend their heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Alhaj Mohsin Lalji, Alhaj Mohamedraza Dewji and Alhaj Inayat Alidina on their appointments and we pray for their good health, tawfeeqat and every success in serving the Mission and in delivering to the Mission’s vision and goals.
