The population of our Community members is presently growing steadily in Kampala. Also, more families and the number of job seekers from India and Pakistan who are keen to develop their future are growing.
During the visit the AFED delegation held a consultative meeting with the Kampala Jamaat Managing Committee at which several issues pertaining to the Federation, Jamaat, Economic Development and Tableegh were discussed.
The delegation also made a visit to see the Jamaat’s properties. They also saw “The Mall” on Wilson Road which belongs to the Jamaat and The Arcade which the AFED and Kampala Jamaat jointly invested in this property since 2004 for the purpose of income generating to support the activities of the two Institutions.
Discussions were also held with the Jamaat Managing Committee and Trustees on further development of the Jamaat properties in Kampala.
The delegation also visited the Kampala Jamaat Cemetery (Kabrastan). The Kabrastan is well maintained and requires good fencing to protect it since it is in a prime location, and facing the main road with several developments mushrooming nearby.
A visit was also made to our bankers, the Crane Bank of Uganda and a meeting with the Managing Director Mr. Aliraza Kalan was held. Mr. Kalan is also a good supporter of our community in Kampala and participates whole heartedly in various programs and events of the community.
The Secretariat thanks the Managing Committee and members of Kampala Jamaat for their warm reception and hospitality during the visit and appreciates the cooperation and support of Kampala Jamaat
