This year, the Regional Council of Madagascar in collaboration with KSI Jamaat of Tananarive celebrated the Miladun Nabii (SAWW) and the birthday anniversary of our 6th Imam, Imam Ja’ffar al Sadiq (AS) and invited all communities to Maulud function. The dignitaries who attended were:
- The Ambassadors of India and Iran
- Representatives of Sunni, Bohra, Ismaili and Hindu Communities.
- Hon. Consuls of different countries based in Madagascar.
The Maulud program started at 7.45 pm at the Imambargha. The Maulud majlis was recited by the Resident Aalim, Maulana Mirza Hasan Askari, followed by a speech from the Chairman of the Regional Council, Alhaj Navazaly Molou. In his address, he spoke on the highest esteem personality of the Holy Prophet of Islam, admired by all including non-Muslims Scholars and people who are practicing other religion.
Navazaly Bhai underscored the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence and cooperation between all communities irrespective of their beliefs or ethnic backgrounds. He stated emphatically that our success lies in our hands; we must support each other and work in cooperation and not in isolation.
In his address, he also explained the various social activities being undertaken by the Regional Council and Tananarive Jamaat for the people of Madagascar.
The Ambassador of India also took the floor and invited people to develop further their relations with India.
This was also the appropriate event to announce that the Regional Council with the Tananarive Jamaat and the Koulsoum Mission has bought a land of 1000m2 for building a health clinic which will serve community members and general public.
Nyaz dinner was served at the same time the dignitaries and invited guests had an opportunity to exchange ideas and meet each others.
The Chairman of the Regional Council (CROI), his Office Bearers and the President of Tananarive Jamaat, his Managing Committee Members and Trustees wishes to express their profound appreciation to all members of the community, the well wishers and volunteers who have greatly contributed towards the success of this program. We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant all our community members good health, long life and tawfeeqat to continue serving for the pleasure of Allah (SWT).
