Testimonials from the Participants:
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. – Aristotle.”
Everyone believes that they know themselves; but the question is ‘How well?’ The LDP course is guaranteed to help you understand aspects of your inner most self, and how you can redirect yourself to becoming a better individual, crucially on a personal level, then on a social one.
Undertaking discussions covering different concepts and theories that touch everyday life, you will be sure to understand why living authentically is the ultimate best form of living. With amazing facilitators that are there to help you at every step of the way, this course is definitely a perfect stepping stone for anyone who is ready to explore a deeper extension of themselves.
Kulsum M. Nasser – Dar es Salaam
I cannot begin but to thank the organizers for organizing such a fruitful event. Indeed no words can truly do them justice.
I believe that inside everyone there is someone who wants to come out and shine and that someone is the real you.
Thank you for helping us find our real selves.
MahdiyaPyarali – Arusha
They say, behind every atom of the world, hides an infinite universe, yet this statement is now more applicable to me, because of this illuminating Y.D.P (Youth Development Program). The amount of knowledge that has been grasped is beyond amazing. In fact, the dissection of our personalities was the highlight of this weekend, where some of us, including I, discovered the gems that are inside us.
Sadiqa P. Janmohamed – Nairobi
The two day training has helped me to discover the girl in the mirror! The girl who I buried in the ink of my pen. Because I discovered my personality I will now learn to appreciate and accept other people for who they are. I aspire to be a giver – a giver of love, kindness and good vibes. With the skills I take back from this training, I want to be a valuable asset in my community, especially the youths because really, they are the future and the leaders of tomorrow.
Sayyeda Versi – Dar es Salaam
Through the YDP, my understanding of individuals within the society we live in has expanded immensely. I would encourage other youths to get involved in such sessions as it brings people with different personalities together, encourages meaningful interaction and brings about self-development & awareness.
It also demonstrated to me the value of networking. I’m going back with lots of developed skills and many new friends.

Our gratitude goes out to Dar es Salaam Jamaat for availing us the venue and amenities for this training session.
We wish to thank the Africa Federation Secretariat for their encouragement, cooperation and for the financial support enabling us to organize such training workshops regularly.
Deepest appreciation goes out to the Facilitators Sis. Shama Dewji and Br. Shabbir-Hussein Khalfan for sacrificing their valuable time and energy towards continuous development of the youth of our community.
We also express our gratitude to the participants for their eagerness to learn and for the efforts throughout the 2 days participation in this workshop. They travelled all the way from their home towns, some by road, some by air and some by sea. We salute their parents and families for the support and encouragement they provide to these young dynamic girls.
The next developmental training towards the Youth Camp is the Mentor Development Programme, which will be conducted for selected participants from this group.
