The Africa Federation Housing Board is pleased to provide the latest update on the construction development of Amira Residency at Upanga in Dar es Salaam. The construction work commenced on 10th August 2018 is progressing well with the basement already completed. The ground floor framework is underway and is expected to be completed by 2nd week of December 2018. It is anticipated that the project will be completed as per the schedule, Insha’allah.
Quality of materials and workmanship are the key elements for all projects and in this regard; the contractor has employed a site engineer to monitor workmanship and quality control for the project. Similarly, AFED Housing Development members make regular visits to the site to assess the progress and quality of works.
Site meetings are held monthly with the all the stakeholders involved in accordance with the contract and scope of works to ensure the project is progressing well.
The Africa Federation Chairman Alhaj Shabir Najafi was amongst the recent visitors who visited the construction site to witness the progress and quality of works.
Shabir bhai expressed satisfaction with the progress and asked to continue with the pace of works to ensure the project is completed, if possible ahead of schedule so that our community members can benefit from this project at the earliest.
Alhaj Ahmed Daya a prominent member of our community from the United Kingdom and a good supporter of the housing projects in Africa also visited the site of Amira Residency. He was pleased to see the project progressing on schedule. Ahmed Bhai has been the backbone of the Africa Federation in the delivery of its vision and strategy for affordable and modern housing accommodation for our community.
The Chairman of the AFED Housing Board, Alhaj Akil Hirji would like to thank the World Federation Executive Councillor, Alhaj Ahmed Daya, all the well-wishers and supporters of the housing development project which is pivotal towards the economic growth and sustainability of the community, housing being one of the crucial elements for the long-term development.
