The Autism Awareness Walk 2017 – 2nd April 2017 – Dar-es-Salaam
The KSIJ Dar-es-Salaam Central Board of Education (KSIJ CBE) governs the Al Muntazir Schools that educates children from the ages of 1.5 years to 18 years through their Al Muntazir Toddlers and Day Care Centre, Al Muntazir Union Nursery School, Al Muntazir Primary Schools and Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary.
The KSIJ CBE also caters for children with special needs through the Al Muntazir Special Education Needs (AMSEN) Unit. The AMSEN has grown multiple folds in the last Four years after the takeover from the World Federation Autistic Day Care Centre in 2013, and is solely devoted to provide holistic care for children with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, Celebral Palsy and many more. The goal is to create awareness, shape the future of our students and provide an environment where children will inculcate essential skills to be independent, productive and lead a meaningful life within the limitations imposed by the disorders.
The AMSEN is organizing a 1km walk to mark the World Autism Day on Sunday 2nd April 2017 where high profile dignitaries are expected to join the general public in the walk.
We wish to invite all members of the Community to join the walk which will start from the Al Muntazir Boys Primary School on Barack Obama Drive from 8.00 a.m. onwards. Your presence will be a major booster for the moral of all staff and students of Al Muntazir Schools.
We also request Community members to continue providing your full support to this extremely noble cause for our Children with Special Education Needs through your time, expertise, wealth and prayers.
