The Chairman of the Africa Federation, Alhaj Shabir Najafi is pleased to announce the appointment of Alhaj Akil Hirji as the Chairman of the Africa Federation Economic and Housing Development Board for the term 2016 – 2019.
Akil bhai has served in the same position from 2014 – 2016. His vast experience and dedication in the housing and economic development sectors will provide added advantage in meeting the goals and objectives of the Board.
Brief Profile
Born in Zanzibar, he acquired his primary and secondary education in Dar-es-Salaam. A hard working and successful businessman, in the last two decades he has expanded and diversified his business ventures, and is presently operating a number of family commercial ventures in Dar es Salaam. He is married and has two children.
Akilbhai’s community, social and voluntary services spans almost three decades. His zeal and dynamism in serving the community has remained consistent having great passion in construction development projects for the betterment of the Community at large.
He has great aspiration and commitment in meeting with the plan and vision of AFED in the Economic and Housing Development Projects sectors.
Outside the community, Akil bhai is also actively involved in social and professional services for the underprivileged people.
