The Bilal Comprehensive School in Temeke, Dar Es Salaam celebrated its 16th Grade Seven Graduation on 19th September 2017. A total of 47 students completed their primary education and were awarded for their hard work over the seven years and for accomplishing a milestone in their lives.

The Guest of Honour for the program was Ms. Bhalloo, the deputy Principal of Shaban Robert Secondary School; in attendance amongst others were the Africa Federation Vice Chairman Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, Alhaj Mohamedhussein Rajani (Haji Saheb), Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania CEO, Br. Amir Ahmed along with representatives from 15 different primary schools in and around Temeke.

It was a morning of mixed emotions; as the students of the younger classes recited a farewell poem for the graduating class and the graduating class sang a goodbye song. There was a moving speech by the head girl and head boy of the school, who shared memories of their time in the school and their ambitions as they march on. There were then words of advice from the Head Teacher of the School, Mr. Suleiman as well as the School Administrator, Mrs. Sidika Karim. The Guest of Honour shared some words of wisdom, and praised the school for their good standard of education and the discipline inculcated in the students.

This was followed by the most awaited moment – an announcement of awards to the best students and presentation of certificates. Alhaj Aunali Khalfan on behalf of Africa Federation announced three full scholarships for secondary education in a school of their choice to students, who ranked top three in the batch. They are Shawwal Omary, Abdulaziz Ulenge and Tamal Ngwame.
This is the second time Africa Federation have offered the scholarships, the last one was for two top performing students, a girl and a boy.
WIPAHS promised 95% scholarship for secondary education at Wali ul Asr (Kibaha) for all the students who scored an A grade in the final examinations, and a 75% Scholarship to those who score B grade. These announcements were applauded by the crowd, indeed a reward for the hard work by the students, teachers and parents. Teachers were also awarded and recognized for their efforts on this occasion by the BCS Administration.

The day ended with scrumptious Biryani amidst the hugs, tears and smiles!
