The Opening Ceremony of the “Al Qa’eem Residency” – the Africa Federation Housing Project in Arusha was held on Sunday 7th September 2014 coinciding with the occasion of the birth anniversary of the 8th Imam (A.S.)
The Building located on Plot 9 Jacaranda Road, Arusha city centre in Tanzania is a eight storey building which consists of 24 flats (each floor has two flats of 2 bedrooms and one flat of 3 bedrooms), a spacious covered terrace for events and two shops outlets on the ground floor for renting out.
The Ceremony was attended by the Africa Federation Chairman Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, the Hon Secretary Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, AFED Past Chairman Alhaj Ramzan Nanji from Nairobi, Alhaj Gulamali Virjee of Dubai, Arusha Jamaat President Alhaj Gulamhussein Mukhtar and AFED Housing Board Chairman Alhaj Akil Hirji.
Also present were the AFED Nominated Councillors in Arusha Alhaj Amir Somji, Alhaj Rizwan Peera and Alhaj Shabbir Virjee, the Hon. Secretary of Moshi Jamaat, Alhaj Alihussain Shariff, AFED Sports Council Chairman Alhaj Mahmood Somji and AFED Education Board Chairman Alhaj Samir Habib together with invitees from Arusha and Moshi Jamaat. In attendance were also the Directors of Super Constructions Company Dar-es-Salaam – the Contractors for the Project, the Architect, the Engineers and Consultants of the Project.
Master of Ceremony, Alhaj Amir Somji conducted the Program which included recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Hadis-e-Kissa, Qasida followed by addresses from Arusha Jamaat President, AFED Chairman and presentation of Appreciation Awards. The Official Opening was performed by AFED Chairman together with Alhaj Gulamali Virjee, Alhaj Gulamhusein Mukhtar and Alhaj Ramzan Nanji.
Africa Federation in appreciation of the dedication and total commitment to the project by the Al Qaeem Housing Development Project Sub-Committee presented Appreciation Awards to the Sub-Committee members and to KSI Jamaat of Arusha.
The Arusha Jamaat took the opportunity of the occasion to present their Appreciation to the Chairman and the Hon Secretary of the Africa Federation mementos of Appreciation.
