AFED Solidarity Day 2019 – Ad-Hoc Committee

The annual Africa Federation Solidarity Day marked on 15^th Sha’ban every year will this year inshallah fall on Sunday 21^st April 2019.

We request all Jamaats and the Territorial Councils of Madagascar and Reunion to commence the Solidarity Day activities from 1^st Sha’ban 1440 (7^th April 2019) and continue up to 25^th Shab’an 1440 (1^st May 2019).

The activities organized should be for both gents and ladies and should include our youth and children to raise funds towards this noble appeal. These activities can be Charity Walks, Fun Fairs, Bake Sales, Sports related and other activities involving our schools and the Madressahs boys’ and girls’ sections.

This great event would also provide opportunity to bring together our community members from different age groups on a common platform under one banner of Solidarity to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of our 12^th Imam, Al Hujjah Al Mahdi (ATFS).

Funds raised are utilized throughout the year for the needy and deserving members of our community in areas such as education, medical, and other emergency relief requirements.

We are pleased to appoint the Solidarity Day Ad-Hoc Committee to spearhead the AFED Solidarity Day 2019 (1440 A.H.) and to coordinate with the Jamaats in organizing various activities and fund raising events.

We request our other Jamaats to appoint two youth members and submit their names to the Secretariat, who will work in collaboration with the Ad-Hoc Committee.

Alihassan Kassam and Sister Fatima Patel shall be the AFED Liaison Officers from the Secretariat.

The Secretariat seeks the support and cooperation of our constituent member Jamaats as in the previous years to make the Solidarity Day 2019 a success once again.
