Jamaats in Africa are informed that there will be an Annular Solar Eclipse on Sunday 21st June 2020 (29th Shawwal 1441 AH).
The eclipse will begin on Sunday 21st June 2020 at 6.49 a.m. and will reach its maximum at 7.46 a.m. The eclipse will end at 8.51 a.m. (All times are local time [EAT]).
The annular phase of this solar eclipse is not visible in Dar es Salaam, but it can be observed as a partial solar eclipse, it will look approximately like below:
The annular phase of this solar eclipse is visible from parts of Africa including the Central African Republic, Congo, and Ethiopia; south of Pakistan and northern India; and China. Weather permitting, people in these areas will see the characteristic ring of fire.
Regions seeing, at least, a partial eclipse are South/East Europe, Much of Asia, North in Australia, Much of Africa, Pacific, Indian Ocean.
