NEWALA CENTRE OPENING CEREMONY
Newala is one of the branches of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania located in the southern part of the Tanzania. In February 2020, during the visit by the Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania Chief of Operations (COO) Br. Hafidhi Mansour and Tabligh Supervisor Sheikh Msabbah Mapinda, it was noted that the Centre was not in a good state. The Newala Centre previously was the Khoja Mosque/Imambargha later entrusted to Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania to use as a Centre for Tabligh purposes.
With the blessing of the Almighty (s.w.t.) and the assistance from donors, the Mosque was successfully renovated and was fully utilized by the Bilal members during the holy month of Ramadhan. The official Opening Ceremony of the Mosque was held on 2nd July 2020.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by: Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania Chief of Operations Br. Hafidh Mansour, Tabligh Supervisor Sheikh Msabbah Mapinda, Representative of Seyyid Shohadaa Sheikh Miraj Salim, BAKWATA District Sheikh Yusuph Mikidadi and his Deputy Sheikh Shawwal Milukani, Regional BAKWATA Chairman Mohammed Mkana and the BAKWATA District Secretary Alhaj Shabani M. Nachunda.
The community members in Newala thanked the new management of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania and the donors for their efforts and financial support towards the rehabilitation of the Mosque. They were also appreciative for the water well facilitated by the donors at the Mosque which has helped alleviate the predominant problem of water shortage in the area.
The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania COO, Br. Hafidhi Mansour extended the appreciation on behalf of the Mission to the donors for their support which enabled the Mosque to be renovated withing a short span in time.
The Mission is confident that the renovated Mosque in Newala will boost the morale of Community members in attending daily prayers and different occasions including Majlises to mark the wafats and wiladats and also the Muharram majlises to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the Martyrs of Kerbala.
We pray to Allah (s.w.t.) to reward the donors for their generosity and give us more tawfiq to serve humanity better, Ameen.
