On the 7th of August 2020, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, Vice-Chairman of Africa Federation handed over media equipment to the Central Bilal Board Chairman, Alhaj Hussein Karim, who then handed over the equipment to Br. Hafidh Mansour, the COO of BMMT.
The Equipment handed over included; A camcorder with tripod stand, A wireless mic, and a Digital Camera with its tripod stand. The equipment purchased by AFED is for use by Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania.
During a brief ceremony held at AFED’s Secretariat office at Zahra Towers, the Vice Chairman of Africa Federation had the following to share with the CBB and BMMT team;
“Media portfolio is an important part of any organization during this day and age, we must be able to record and share the good work that this organization does regularly to promote Tabligh in Tanzania, besides other humanitarian, social and economic projects which are part of Bilal’s activities to help out the indigenous Shia community in various parts of Tanzania. He cited the example of the Free Eye Camps which are carried out by Bilal volunteers who travel to a number of villages offering humanitarian services to the underprivileged people of the society.
He further emphasized that it is imperative for Bilal to reach out to the members through the media platforms in order to showcase the work being done by Bilal but more importantly to educate and provide materials through media for better understanding of the religion of Islam and the Madh’ab of Ahlulbayt (AS).
He advised the team to take good care of the equipment which should be used for the activities of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania only. Maintaining the equipment, he underlined was vital for longevity and good results”.
Alhaj Hussein Karim appreciating Africa Federation said these equipment’s will greatly help Bilal Tanzania in the projects that they wish to launch such as short lessons about Islam including Fiqh, and understanding of the Holy Qur’an for a wider audience. He said the Mission has been doing Tabligh work for many years and every region is trying their level best to deliver to attain the goals of Bilal. He said this gesture by AFED will play an important role in promoting and in carrying out the various activities and publicity.
Alhaj Aunali Khalfan thanked Br. Hasnain Sherally, Chief Operating Officer of AFED in following up the procurement of the equipment to arrive in time. Others present at the ceremony were; Br. Hasnain Sherally, COO of AFED, Br. Hafidh Mansour, COO of BMMT, Br. Twalha Zubeir Media in charge of BMMT and Br. Shaaneali Meghji, AFED Marketing Consultant.
