460 Majaalis across 15 centres
All 15 centres conducted 2-3 outdoor majaalis per day during the first 10 days of Muharram. Majaalis were conducted under the supervision of staff who ensured that all Covid-19 precautions were taken. Recitation of the Holy Qur’an followed by matam and poems in Kiswahili were lined up during the Majaalis at the Bilal Hall and Bilal Centres, ending with recitation of Ziyarat and distribution of Tabarruk.
10 Ashura processions across centres
To commemorate this important day in the Islamic calendar, Mu’mineen from
nearby Bilal centres linked up and took out processions carrying banners and
recited marthiya in their respective languages and dialects. A’amaal for the
day of Ashura were also conducted at the Centres.
The Mission appreciates the generous support and assistance it has received from various donors & Well-wishers and looks forward to your continued support in all our activities in the future.
