The Solidarity Day Adhoc Team organized for the first time a Competition titled – Brain of Africa which was held during the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1441 A.H. In the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic the members of KSI Jamaats of Africa participated fully in this online competition to identify the brains of the community in Africa.
The inaugural competition attracted 300 participants from different parts of Africa and in the final there were 10 participants who were determined through the elimination process of the correct answers and the time it took each participant to log in the answers.
The Competition was streamed live on YouTube to allow the community members to support their brethren. The Questions asked were carefully curated from a wide range of categories including but not limited to, religion, Quran, Africa Federation, Sports, General Knowledge, Science and history.
Upon climax of the Competition, there was a clear winner in terms of the Jamaat that stood out – this being Nairobi Jamaat (SAAJ) where all the three winners came from.
The prizes of the competition were;
1st Prize: HP Laptop – Kindly donated by Simply Computers (T) Ltd – Dar-es-Salaam.
2nd Prize: Hisense Smart TV – Kindly donated by Home Depot (T) Ltd – Dar-es-Salaam.
3rd Prize: Samsung Tablet donated by AFED.
The winners of the competition were:
1st Prize: Sis. Maryam Nanji of Nairobi Jamaat
2nd Prize: Br. MuhammedJawad Habib of Nairobi Jamaat
3rd Prize: Br. Mehdi Nanji of Nairobi Jamaat
The prizes were presented to the winners in Nairobi on Sunday 25th October 2020 which was the eve of 9th Rabi-ul-Awwal on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Zehra (SA) program at the Mosque.

The Africa Federation Office Bearers takes this opportunity to once again congratulate the winners of the First Brain of Africa Competition and records their appreciation to the donors for their contribution of the prize items to the first two winners. We pray to Allah (s.w.t.) to reward them amply for their support and generosity, Ameen.
