The Africa Federation Hon Treasurer Alhaj Zainul Chandoo and the Hon Secretary Alhaj Zuhair Jaffer met the World Federation Delegation led by the President Sheikh Safdar Jaffer accompanied by Alhaj Sibtain Asaria from Dubai and Dr. Riyaz Hassanali from USA. The Meeting was held on Saturday 12th June 2021 at the AFED Secretariat Office at Zahra Towers, Dar-es-Salaam.

The World Federation delegation is presently in Tanzania specifically in regards to the World Federation current mission of providing support for vaccines to the population in Africa where it is mostly required.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our constituent member – KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam for hosting the visit of the World Federation President and his delegation on behalf of Africa Federation and the visit to Zanzibar.
During the joint meeting between the World Federation and Africa Federation, several important issues of common interest were discussed, and future plans on a joint approach to assist the Community members who are faced with the challenges of the economic hardships caused by the pandemic, lockdowns, curfews etc.
On the spiritual Upliftment, Madressahs, teachers training etc. there was a general consensus to do more to improve the quality and standards in Madressahs, teachers training, teaching methods etc.

The AFED Hon Secretary Zuhair bhai Jaffer and the Hon Treasurer Zainul bhai Chandoo joined the World Federation Delegation on their visit to Zanzibar who met the First Vice President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar His Excellency Mr. Othman Masoud Othman during a briefing session in the First Vice President’s office in Zanzibar.

During the visit the AFED Hon Treasurer briefed the Vice President on the developments since their visit to Zanzibar and meeting with the President of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Government His Excellency, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi in March 2021. AFED expressed its gratitude for the registration of Africa Federation in Zanzibar. He also informed that site visits were made to various areas to identify ideal places that needed water wells and final plans are currently under way to start work in Mwera in memory of late Syed Hassan Abbas Naqvi, the former Chairman of Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB).
On the Medical front, Zainul bhai spoke about the Eye Camps being organized by the Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania and assured that more such camps will be organized in the Isles of Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia.
He said the Federation looks forward to continue working with the Government of Zanzibar towards the upliftment in social and economic sectors for the people of Zanzibar.
During the visit, the World Federation in collaboration with Africa Federation and Dar-es-Salaam KSI Jamaat handed over a consignment of 5000 Covid-19 Vaccines as a donation from our Community to the people of Zanzibar.

The Africa Federation Secretariat is thankful to the World Federation for their tremendous support and cooperation in steering the Vaccine Drive for Africa and appreciates the support of the donors and volunteers in this important Mission.
We also wish to record our appreciation to the President of Dar es Salaam Jamaat, Alhaj Mohamedraza Bhai Dewji and the Dar es Salaam Managing Committee for hosting and organizing the logistics of the visit of the World Federation Delegation to Dar-es-Salaam and Zanzibar on behalf of Africa Federation.
We pray to the Almighty for the success of the Vaccine Drive and may He amply reward all those involved in this exercise here and in the hereafter, Ameen.
