EID AL GHADEER CELEBRATIONS
O Messenger! Deliver what has been revealed to you from your Lord; and if you do it not, then you have not delivered His message, and Allah will protect you from the people; surely Allah will not guide the unbelieving people. (5:67)
HAWZATU BILAL – TEMEKE
On Thursday, July 29, 2021 (18 Dhul Hijjah, 1442 AH) Hawzatu Bilal (Temeke) students along with their teachers conducted a Majalis to celebrate Eid Al Ghadeer, the day on which the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) declared Imam Ali (AS) to be his successor and the leader of the Muslims after him.
The Majalis began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, by Hawza student, Alhaj Maulidi and was followed by Majalis given by Sheikh Shafi.
As it was a happy day, the Majalis continued with Qasida and poems from the Hawza students and a spectacular demonstration of the event of Ghadeer and how the companions of the Prophet (SAW) swore allegiance to Imam Ali before the Prophet (SAW). Additionally, hadith and narrations relating to event of Ghadeer were presented to the audience.
The event of Ghadeer is one of the most important milestones in the history of Islam and marks an equally important event in the Annual Islamic Calendar. It the time that those who have received the message of Ghadeer, relay it to those who haven’t.
The Ghadeer celebrations were marked in many Bilal Centers throughout the country. We are sharing some of the moments captured in different parts of the country.
