The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) is pleased to introduce Alhaj Hameed Sheriff of Arusha, Tanzania as the head of Teacher Skills Training (TSP) Program for Africa.
He takes over the post from Shaida bai Abdulrasul, the outgoing TSP head of Africa who has served in this capacity for five years and is now moving on, but will remain an active part of the Program.
Hameed bhai has long experience in Madrasah, he has been part of the Madrasah since the late 1980’s and at present is within the administration of Yadgare Murtazawi Madrasah, Arusha.
Apart from being involved in the Madrasah, he has also been part of the Afed Sports Council and Kilimeru Sports of Arusha in the past.
Hameed bhai was also part of the Pilot Project of Madrasah Centre of Excellence (MCE) Curriculum and its implementation in Arusha Madrasah in 2017. He is among the TSP facilitators for Africa who were trained by Sayyed Aliraza Naqvi in 2016 and has been active in upgrading teacher’s skills since joining the Madrasah system.
His main focus will be to ensure that all Madrasah teachers in Africa are well trained to enable them facilitate learning using the tools as per the needs of our children today. We welcome Hameed bhai to AFTAB’s team and wish him success in his new role.
