The Elite Sports Academy program is a specifically designed two-year IGCSE program, for boys as well as girls, providing an opportunity for the girls to engage in sports as well, they are most often left out in such sports. Students will choose and specialize in four different sports. 50% of the course is theory, externally assessed by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), whereas the other half consists of internally assessed (and externally moderated) coursework. In addition to sports, students will also do minimum English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
“Students will be very well prepared for ‘A’ level or the IB Diploma Program,” said Sigve Austheim, Principal at Nairobi Jaffery Academy. “They will also have a very balanced background for university entry”, he added.
Additionally, students of all ages from any school in Nairobi can also enroll in the after-school Southampton F.C. Football Academy, with trainings held twice a week. There are also plans for a Southampton Inter-School League Football Academy.
