The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) Chairman Mulla Sajjad Walji visited the Darul Hikmah, Madrasah’ in Zanzibar accompanied by Sheikh Mulaba Saleh Lulat, the Madaris Coordinator on Friday 21st January 2022.
This visit was consequent to previous visits during which AFTAB leaders met with Zanzibar Jamaats concerned parties to study the plausibility of establishing a sustainable madrasah with good standards.
Following the various visits and communication, the Madrasah, a fruit of conjugated efforts of zealous young believers under the guidance of Br. Shabbir Somji, was singled out as a potential tree to be irrigated to give blessed fruits to enlighten generations to come. Alhamdulillah, the tree is growing exuberantly, steadily.
During the visit, the whole team of Dar ul Hikmah headed by Br. Shabbir Somji met with the AFTAB Chairman and discussed the achievements, challenges and the way forward. The AFTAB Chairman congratulated the Dar ul Hikmah family for the great work done and encouraged them to keep up the spirit. He assured them of full support by AFTAB in ensuring that the Madrasah stands and prospers and pledged an amount of Five Million towards the Madrasah budget for the year 2022.
Below are pictures of the visit to the Madrasah and the meeting.
The Africa Federation Tabligh Board records its appreciation to Alhaj Shabir Somji and his dedicated team for the work being undertaken to nourish the children of our Community in Zanzibar with Islamic knowledge. We pray to the Almighty to reward them here and hereafter for their efforts. Ameen.
