The Chairman of Africa Federation (AFED), Alhaj Amine Nassor is pleased to announce the appointment of Alhaj Akil G. Hirji of Dar-es-Salaam as Chairman of the Housing Development Board of Africa Federation for the new term, 2022-2025.
Brief Profile
Akil bhai has deep passion to serve the Community at large; As Chairman of the Housing Development Board in the previous terms; he has successfully managed and supervised the development of several capital projects.
His ambition and zeal to deliver on the aims and objectives of the Housing Development of AFED aligned with the vision of Africa Federation has been profound and landmark of his achievements.
In July 2022, at the 28th Africa Federation Triennial Conference in Dar es Salaam, he was awarded the prestigious Husseini Medal by Africa Federation for his dedication and honorary services to the community.
Akil bhai’s track record of many years of experience in the construction field which has come about through undertaking several projects (community, commercial and private), has added to the success in the development of the projects of the Africa Federation Housing Development Board.
Similarly, his social and voluntary services in the community which spans over three decades in supporting members of the community towards economical upliftment through facilitating housing schemes and encouraging self-sustainability is noteworthy. Akil bhai is also actively involved in supporting social and professional services for the underprivileged people both inside and outside the community.
