Masir of Imam Hussein (as): The Mission also supported madrassas in participating in the annual Arbaeen procession held by the Shia community in Kisauni, Mombasa. In addition, our media department covered the event which included livestreaming the event.
MEDIA OUTREACH
- All the majlis were streamed live on all digital platforms to reach a wide range of audiences. In line with the Ministry of Health guideline, the Mission was forced to scale down the number of people attending the majlis physically hence live streaming of the program played an important role in taking the message of Karbala to the audience in the digital world. There was positive engagement on both Facebook and YouTube during the 10 days of the majlis.
- Facebook and Youtube reached an average of 2000 people from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, DRC, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa, Iran, Iraq and United Kingdom.
The Mission organized similar Majlis in its 15 centers and extended the program to some of the independent Shia centers.
Sheikhs held sermons on different topics, activities and classes informing the communities of the events of Karbala and commemoration of Imam Hussein (as).

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya appreciates the generous support and assistance received from various donors to ensure a successful run of this program.
