The Bilal Kenya’s Education Department, in line with its vision 2021 plan for the Integrated Value-Based Education Program (IVBEP) organized a three weeks’ crash course for 62 of its teaching staff from 04th – 23rd December 2022 at the Al-Ridha Islamic Centre, Mtongwe.
Participants included Mubaligheen, IRE & Pre-primary school teachers from Bilal Kenya and other independent Centres.
The training course was jointly arranged with the International Institute for Islamic Studies, Qom under Sheikh Dr. Shomali. Four (4) scholars facilitated the training. They were Mr. Abolfazl Alizadeh (a senior curriculum development specialist and teaching methodologies expert), Sheikh Mohamed Hussein Khoddami, Sheikh Meysam Sadiq, and Sister Sabereh Ahmadi, all from the International Institute for Islamic Studies in Qom. The languages of instruction were Arabic, English, Kiswahili and some Farsi. Translation into English and Kiswahili from Farsi was facilitated by Sh. Ali Mwega.
OBJECTIVE
The main purpose of the training was to acquaint teachers with modern and relevant pedagogical skills in presenting Islamic topics to youths, dealing with contemporary challenges against the faith and to appraise their levels of Islamic studies.

- Competency in Islamic Thought (CIT)

- A better acquaintance with and more effective and constructive information on Islamic studies and sciences for all the topics presented.

- Basis set for improved teaching techniques and tactics for the teachers.

- A good basis laid to continue training muballighs on modern teaching methods
