“Communication is one of the most important skills you require for a successful life.”
Employees are the lifeline of any organization and their training and development isn’t just important but is vital for the organization’s growth. The importance of training personnel really cannot be overemphasized and the benefits include increase in staff motivation, improved productivity and the quality of work. Employees learn and develop their skills so that they can become more effective at what they do.
With this in mind, the AFED staff participated in a training session organized by The Africa Federation Capacity Building Board (CBG) on 16th November 2022 held at Afed Towers Training Centre. The session was based on the topic ‘Communications’ and was facilitated by Br. Shabbirhussein Khalfan and Sr. Shama Dewji.
Communication in the workplace is important because it boosts employee morale, engagement, productivity and satisfaction. Communication is also a key for better team collaboration and cooperation. Ultimately, effective workplace communication helps drive better results for individuals, teams and organizations.
The training commenced with a reflection from the verses of the Holy Qur’an followed by interactive sessions by the facilitators coupled with interesting activities. The 3-hour session was an eye-opening experience for all participants and the key focus of the Training session was on how to use our communication skills effectively to create great teams. Emphasis was also placed on how Effective Communication enables us to resolve differences, minimize conflict and create a thriving environment within our businesses and personal lives.
The AFED Capacity Building Board (CBG) wishes to accord their utmost appreciation to the Africa Federation Office Bearers for taking a progressive approach to developing an important arm of the Organization that would spearhead in collectively attaining its vision better.
Our deep appreciation also goes to each and every AFED staff member for actively participating in their personal and professional growth. It is our sincere entreaty to the participants that this is but a stepping stone and to keep up this learning journey and enhance their personal effectiveness in their respective departments, community and humanity at large.
