We are pleased to inform our constituent Jamaats of the appointment by the Chairman of Africa Federation of Alhaj Aasif Karim - FCIArb as the Chairman of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) of the Africa Federation.
Aasif Bhai is an Alumni of Howard University, Washington DC, USA and a Fellow Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and Kenya.
Aasif bhai has served as the Chairman of Nairobi Jamaat from 2009 to 2013 and was awarded the Abbasi Medal by Africa Federation in 2013.
A renowned former International Sportsman (Tennis & Cricket), Aasif bhai played for Kenya for 23 years which include having played 3 Cricket World Cups, 4 Associate Trophies and Davis Cup Tennis and was declared as the AFED Sportsman of the Year in 1994 and awarded the Abul Fazal Trophy. He continues to promote sports in the region and has been publishing a sports magazine for last 25 years - www.sportsmonthly.co.ke and is associated with the Kenya International Sports Film Festival - www.kisff.or.ke. Aasif bhai participated in the OVER 60 Cricket World Cup held in India this year where he played for the REST OF THE WORLD TEAM.
Aasif bhai is Practicing Alternate Dispute Resolution and a prominent businessman. Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the Safinaz Group of Companies which consists of the following:
