Career Counseling Seminar


Overview


On August 3, 2024 (27th Muharram 1446 A.H.), Bilal Tanga held a career counseling seminar for on-going and madrasah alumni students pursuing secondary, college and non-college education. The seminar was facilitated by experienced tutors from Dar es Salaam.


A one-day seminar was attended by a total of 83 students benefiting from a range of topics aimed at guiding them in their future educational and career paths.The seminar covered topics on:


  • Self-Actualization: Understanding personal potential and striving for self-improvement.

  • The Importance of Education: Emphasizing education as a vital tool for personal and professional development.

  • Career Selection Principles: Providing guidance on how to choose the right career path based on individual strengths and interests.


This seminar served as a platform for students to engage with professionals and gain insights that will assist them in their future endeavors.



Peaceful Processions


On September 2, 2024 (28th Safar 1446 A.H.), Bilal Tanga organized several peaceful processions to honor the death anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). The processions were conducted in various zones, bringing together thousands of mourners.


Eastern Zone

  • Participants: Over 2,300 mourners

  • Combined centres: Mpirani, Mtundani, Mwandusi, Kibiboni, Magauni, Maramba, Mafere, Kivuleni, Kigomba, Gezani, Chongoleani, Magodi, Mzingi, Pangarawe, Pangani, Madanga, Boza, Kimanga, Mjimwema, Gombero, Mivumoni, Mrozo and Mwembeni.

  • Route: Started at Abulfadhlil Abbas Centre on Street No. 20, proceeding through Makoko Road, turning into Street No. 15 (Taifa Road), and culminating at Bilal Tanga HQ on Street No. 5, where a Majlis was held.


Northern Zone

  • Participants: More than 900 mourners

  • Combined Centres: Geza, Kilulu, Magumbani, Maili Nane, Mfundo, Mwakikonge, Kambini.


Southern Zone

  • Participants: Over 900 mourners

  • Combined Centres: Kikokwe, Kambona, Stahabu, Sakura, Makorora, Mwera, Ubangaa, Shirikishoni, Meka, Mafreta, Mikinguni, Kasanga, Mikochoni.


Usambara Zone

  • Participants: More than 1,000 mourners

  • Combined Centres: Mkumbara, Makaka, Pambei, Kwenangu, Vingu, Mali, Kwashemshi, Kwemanolo, Korogwe, Antakae, Vuga.


Central Zone

  • Participants: More than 700 mourners

  • Combined Centres: Kwamkole, Bombo, Matemboni, Kombora, Kwamchake, Zirai, Kizara.


 

Lectures in Open Grounds


The Tabligh department organized lectures in open places:

  • Locations: Tangamano and Tangasisi grounds (Tanga), Moa (Mkinga), Mkaramo, Mikocheni (Pangani), and Mkata.

  • Engagement: These sessions allowed community members to listen, engage, and ask questions, creating a dynamic learning environment.


Conclusion


The activities conducted during Safar 1446 A.H. by Bilal Tanga showcased our commitment to education and community values. The career counseling seminar empowered students with essential knowledge for their future, while the commemorative processions and lectures reinforced the teachings and legacy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W). We look forward to continuing these efforts to uplift our community and support our youth in their journeys.
