BMM Tanzania - Celebration of Birth Anniversaries of Holy Personalities

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) commemorated the birth anniversaries of Imam Hussein (A), Hadhrat Abbas (A), and Imam Ali Zainul Abideen (A). The celebration took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hawzatu Sayyida Maasoumah and was attended by students from Hawzatu Sayyida Maasoumah and Hawzatu Ahul-Bayt, along with their teachers.

The occasion was honored by the presence of Br. Hafidhi Mansour - Chief of Operations BMMT, representing Alhaj Hussein Karim – Chairman BMMT. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith-ul-Kisaa, followed by melodious qasidas in remembrance of each personality. This was followed by enlightening lectures on their lives and legacies.

Sheikh Ali Ramadhan - Academic Supervisor for both Hawzas, presented a lecture on Hadhrat Abbas (A), followed by Sheikh Amri Haroun - Deputy Director of Hawzatu Ahlul-Bayt, who spoke on Imam Ali Zainul Abideen (A). Finally, Sheikh Hussein Zuberi - Acting Head of Tabligh at BMMT, delivered a lecture on Imam Hussein (A).

Students from both Hawzat demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of the lives of these three great figures through quizzes based on the lectures. Prizes were awarded to those who performed exceptionally well.

In his address, Br. Hafidhi Mansour emphasized the importance of moral character (akhlaq) for the students, urging them to adopt the noble qualities of these three figures, who were renowned for their exemplary conduct and effective use of time and resources in serving Allah (S.W.T).

The event was further enriched by dramatic performances from the students, aimed at inspiring them to embrace the values of promoting good and prohibiting evil—principles strongly advocated by these three personalities.

The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and adherence to the schedule by the event’s master of ceremony, Sheikh Swahib Rashid - Tabligh Supervisor BMMT Coast and Southern Region.

The celebration concluded with the recitation of Dua Al-Hujjat, led by Sheikh Muswahabu, followed by a delicious meal.

BMMT extends its gratitude to the donors and volunteers who made this important event a success for the spiritual and educational development of our young boys and girls. May Allah (S.W.T) reward them abundantly, Ameen.
