On May 16, 2024, we had the privilege to visit Muhimbili National Hospital, where an Eid lunch program was organized and sponsored by the family of Br. Akhter Akberali Khakoo in collaboration with the KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam and the Central Health Board (CHB) of Africa Federation. This, besides celebrating the auspicious occasion of Eid, also fostered a sense of unity and cooperation amongst the participants.
During the event, Professor Janabi, a distinguished personality at Muhimbili National Hospital, highlighted remarkable advancements the hospital has achieved over the years. He elaborated on the specialized resources available at Muhimbili National Hospitals, which have significantly enhanced the quality of care provided to patients in the country. He underscored the hospital's commitment to adopting a cutting-edge medical technologies and practices, thereby positioning Muhimbili as a leading healthcare institution in East and Central Africa.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Central Health Board (CHB), Aliraza Bandali emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between our community and the management of Muhimbili National Hospital. He outlined several key initiatives that will be pursued to strengthen this collaboration, including awareness programs, health screenings, capacity-building efforts, including concessions in medical bills for the community members. These initiatives are designed to improve access to healthcare services and enhance the overall wellbeing of our community.
The Eid lunch program, celebrated in a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect, marked a significant milestone in our journey towards achieving these ambitious goals. It served as a stepping-stone towards deeper collaboration and sustained efforts to promote health and wellness within our community.
