Alhamdulillah, the 17-storey residential building “Madina Residency” project located on plot no. 512, Mindu Street, Upanga is progressing well.
The project started on 1st July 2024 and the substructure work is progressing at steady pace with 60% completed. The project initially faced challenges with the neighbours, excavation and mass concreting of the foundation, however challenges have been overcome by the efforts of the project team along with the contractor; and we are working closely with the neighbours to ensure minimum inconvenience is caused to them. The project is now progressing smoothly.
On 4th September 2024, Alhaj Sadiqbhai Jaffer of Jaffer Family Foundation of New York visited the site along with AFED Trustee & Housing Board advisor Alhaj Shabirbhai Najafi and AFED Housing Board Chairman Alhaj Akilbhai Hirji. The visitors were impressed with the progress of the project and prayed for timely completion of the project.
During this period, there has been 3 technical and 2 site meetings; the recent site meeting held on 6th September 2024. The site meeting covered some of the challenges encountered and planning of the project in line with the project timeline.
The substructure is expected to be completed by end of October 2024, meanwhile other works will continue for the main structure. Inshallah, we pray for the timely completion of the project, which is passionately awaited.
