Marhuma Zohra Anverali Rajpar

It is with deep sadness that the Africa Federation Secretariat received the news of the demise of a luminous lady, Zohra bai Anverali Rajpar who passed away in Dubai on Sunday 5th January 2025 and was buried in Dubai, U.A.E on Tuesday 7th January 2025.

Zohra bai was the daughter of Alhaj Anverali Rajpar and Marhuma Marzia bai Rajpar. Alhaj Anverali bhai has served the community in various capacities in Karachi, Pakistan and also in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. His community, philanthropic and social services span to several decades. Currently, inspite of his advance age, he continues keenly spearheading the KSIJ Eye Centre in Temeke as well as other social services.

Zohra bai was a beacon of philanthropy and community social services like her father.  She was the founder of Who is Hussain in Pakistan, where she transformed compassion into action, touching many lives in ways words cannot fully capture. She was an elected World Federation Councillor from Pakistan for the term 2017-2020, where she played a pivotal role in women’s participation in the community services.

A beacon of hope for those who felt forgotten, a voice for the voiceless; Zohra bai championed initiatives that fostered inclusivity, unity and empowerment within the community.  Zohra bai’s passion for giving back and her enduring belief in creating a better world made her a role model for many.  Countless individuals were inspired to engage in acts of kindness and to honor the legacy of Imam Hussein (‘A).

Her unwavering commitment and dedication were a testament to spreading the values of compassion and her service to humanity will remain an inspiration for many.

We convey our heartfelt condolences to Marhuma’s father, to all the family members and to her colleagues. We pray that they find solace in the cherished memories and carry forward Marhuma’s profound legacy which she leaves behind.

We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant Marhuma maghferat and place her soul amongst the blessed ones in the vicinity of the Chahardah Ma’sumeen (‘A), and who continuously receive the mercy and grace of Allah (SWT), Ameen.

Sura-Al-Fateha is requested for Marhuma Zohra bai and all the volunteers of our community who have served our community in various capacities and who are no longer with us; and for all the Marhumeen.
