The Peterborough Jamaat hosted a special dinner in the Honour of the Chairman of the Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi on 14th June at 7.30 pm at the MKSI Imambargha in Peterborough. The dinner was also attended by the Resident Aalim of the Peterborough Jamaat Mulla Mohammed Kassamali and the Chairman of the Council of European Jamaats (COEJ), Dr. Hussein Jiwa. The Jamaat Committee Members and Members of Al Qaaem team & Fundraising Committee were also present at the function.
The President of Peterborough Jamaat Alhaj Razahusein Rahim welcoming Alhaj Anwarbhai Dharamsi praised the tremendous work done and achievements of Alhaj Anwarbhai as Chairman of Africa Federation, and as immediate past President of Dar es Salaam Jamaat. Alhaj Razahusein highlighted on the support he provides in the cause of the Madh’ab of Ahlulbayt (AS) including his assistance at the initial project in 1990. He went on to state that he was indeed a role model for our Community Leadership.
Alhaj Anwarbhai was shown round the Al Qaaem site and saw the temporary hall renovated on the site to relive the acute shortage of space for Imambarghah and Madressah. He praised the Peterborough Community calling it a progressive and fast growing Community and expressed pleasure that the Community had embarked on the much needed project taking unique opportunity to acquire the adjoining land to the existing Mosque and Imambarghah.
Alhaj Anwarbhai pledged full support for the project, extending his personal financial contribution towards the project.
The Jamaat was honoured by his presence in Peterborough.
