1. DISTRIBUTION OF FOODS AND GIFTS IN BOMBO HOSPITAL
To commemorate the martyrdom of Seyyid’u Shohada Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Kerbala, Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, Tanga region distributed food and juice to the patients at Bombo Regional Hospital of Tanga who very much appreciated.
2. BLOOD DONATION
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania Tanga Centre organized blood donation to mark the Day of Ashura in which approximately 40 members of the community participated. It was facilitated at the Bombo Regional Hospital. The hospital authorities appreciated the gesture and thanked Bilal and the donors, blood is always required for the accident victims and others for life saving.
3. ASHURA DAY PROCESSION IN TANGA
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, Tanga Centre, The Ahlul Baiyt Charitable foundation and Lujnat Sayyid’u Shohada organized Ashura Day procession. Many residents of Tanga participated in the Procession to pay homage to the 72 martyrs of Karbala. The Procession started from Bilal Centre and passed through Street number 4 entered on the main Taifa Road, through the market and bus stand ending at the K.S.I.J mosque on Street number 20.
During the procession, various speakers spoke on the tragic event of Karbala and the sacrifices of Imam Husayn (AS), his children, his family members and his faithful companions to save Islam from the clutches of the enemies of the time led by Yazid son of Muawiya bin Abi Sufiyan. Leaflets on various Islamic articles were distributed during the procession to the members of the public.
4. DISTRIBUTION AT MASKINI CAMPS
Bilal Tanga team also visited the Maskini Camps in Tanga. They met children and senior citizens to wish them well and joined them. The team then distributed food items to all the residents of the camps in commemoration of Ashura Day. Food packets were also distributed to the children. The visit was very much appreciated, especially by the senior citizens.
