Over a month ago, The INSTITUT ISLAMIQUE DE MADAGASCAR and The CONSEIL RÉGIONAL DES KHOJAS SHIA ITHNA – ASHERI JAMATES DE L’OCÉAN INDIEN sent out invitations to the community leaders, heads of institutions, organizations and community members world-wide to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of Rasul al Akr’am Building – THE INSTITUT ISLAMIQUE DE MADAGASCAR (INISMA CENTRE) which will take place in Antananarivo, Madagascar on Sunday, 12th February, 2012 (19th Rabi’ul Awwal 1433 AH).
The Guest of Honor of the Grand Opening will be Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen, Sayed Jawad Sharestani, who is the Representative of Marja-e-Taqleed, Ayatullah al Uzmah Sayed Ali Hussaini al Sistani, may Allah (swt) prolong his life and grant him good health and protection all the time.
The occasion is an historical one which will go into the annals of INISMA, and especially during this time of paying our tributes to Marhum Alhaj Goulam Abbas Mamod Jamil, popularly was known as Alhaj Roshan Jamil who passed away suddenly in Antananarivo on 20th February, 2011 (16th Rabi’ul Awwal 1432 AH) – One year ago. May Allah (swt) grant Marhum maghferat and place his soul amongst the fourteen infallibles (Masumeen – AS).
Marhum Roshan bhai Jamil played a pivotal role in propagating the message of Ahlul Baiyt (AS) in Madagascar and surrounding areas, his yeoman services will be remembered by many for many decades to come.
Marhum Roshan bhai Jamil was an inspirational and dedicated member of Madagascar who served for many years in different capacities in the Jamaat and the Regional Council (CROI). He was famous for his dedication towards Bilal Muslim Mission; Marhum was an ardent supporter of AFED and regularly attended Conferences and Supreme Council Sessions of the Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa. He would be accompanied by a big delegation of members from CROI to these meetings.
In 2004 at the 22nd Triennial Conference in Nairobi, Marhum Roshan bhai Jamil was bestowed the “Husseini Medal” by the Chairman of the Africa Federation, for his dedicated and loyal services to the community and for his immense services in the field of Tableegh in Madagascar, France and surrounding Indian Ocean Islands.
The AFED Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi on behalf of the Office Bearers and Member Jamaats remembers Marhum on this occasion. Let us all recite Sura-e-Fateha for him and all Marhumeens.

Over the years, Madagascar has been deeply involved in spreading Tableegh activities far and wide to the indigenous population within the country and in the neighboring Indian Ocean Islands. The INSTITUT ISLAMIQUE DE MADAGASCAR (INISMA) has a great team of enthusiastic and devoted members who spend their valuable time and also their resources in promoting the Tableegh activities.
It will be a good opportunity for the members from Jamaats in Africa to visit and witness the developments in Madagascar, and the wonderful work being carried out by INISMA team comprising of Scholars, Teachers, Philanthropists, Volunteers, Administrators and Staff.
We pray to Allah (SWT) with the Wasilah of Ahlul Baiyt (AS) to give them all the strength and tawfeeqat to continue these noble projects and be able to do more with greater success, Insha’allah.
