AFED CHAIRMAN VISITS QUM TO ATTEND THE 10TH COMMEMORATIVE SEMINAR OF LATE SYED SAEED AKTHAR RIZVI
On the 8th of March 2012, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi (AFED Chairman), Sheikh Murtadha Alidina (Dsm Jamaat Resident Aalim), Shabir Somji (BMMT Chairman), Sheikh Musabah Shaiban, Alhaj Mohamed Dhirani (former AFED Chairman) were invited by Al Mustafa University, one of the renowned universities in Iran, to attend a special seminar marking the 10th death commemoration of the late Allamah Sayed Saeed Akthar Rizvi, in Qum, Iran.

This was the 2nd Commemoration Seminar to recognize the Hawza Personalities. Two personalities were chosen, one is late Allamah Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi of Tanzania and the other is Allamah Sheikh Abdul Hadi Fazli from Saudi Arabia.
Allamah Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi, of Tanzania, was the founder of Bilal Muslim Mission who also served as a Chief Missionary up till his sad demise. He initiated the propagation of the Shiite faith to the indigenous African Community, and wrote several books and articles, both in Kiswahili and English language. His books have been translated in many languages and still being widely read.
The work of Allamah Seyed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi has reached the lives of thousands of people and will continue to do so in the years to come. He is truly an inspiration to us all and appreciation goes to Al Mustafa University for commemorating the work he has done.
Other personalities involved with the education were also invited to this special Seminar, including delegates from all over the world were also invited for this event. The goal and aim of the Seminar was not only to record and recognise the Hawza personalities but also to inspire work of Tableegh to the world and present them with an opportunity to learn and follow in the footsteps of the kind of work done by the two personalities.
Late Allamah Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi was represented by his original Hawza of India and Bilal Muslim Mission Chairman, Sheikhs, his sons and the students from Tanzania.
The delegation met with Sheikh Komail Rajani, Agha Ridha Shushtari, son of Agha Mehdi Shushtari of Zanzibar and students who are studying in Qum, Iran. They were also taken around various institutions where notable scholarly work in Islamic sciences was carried out.
After the Seminar the two chairmen, along with Sheikh Dr. Murtaza Alidina, the Dar es Salaam resident Aalim, then visited Dar al-Zahra to meet with the Head and Tanzanian students that are there.
