Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania conveys their heartfelt condolences to the family of late Hassanali Fazel of Kasulu, Kigoma who departed for the heavenly abode on 11th May 2012 and laid to rest in Dar es Salaam on 12th May 2012.
Alhaj Hassanali Fazel popularly known as Mzee Hasunu, will be remembered for his tireless efforts in spreading the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (as) in the township of Kasulu, 62 kms from Kigoma township.
Sheikh Bakari Mbelango a student of Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi along with Sheikh Moshi Abdalla went to Kasulu in 1994 and were received by Mzee Hasunu wholeheartedly to propagate in the village of Kasulu where the message of Ahlul Bayt (as) was not heard of. Within a month of propagation Nasir Ngwalema became the first convert along with his family and offered his house to be the centre to serve as a prayer hall, Husainiya and library. May Allah (swt) reward him amply for this noble gesture.
Late Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi made an official visit in 1995 to Kigoma inviting people for a meeting in Ujiji town. Mzee Hasunu attended and was appreciated of his efforts in Kasulu. In the following year he donated his Salt Warehouse to cater for the growing numbers of followers of Shiite faith also offering free passages to Sheikhs to travel for Missionary work on his bus “ZAINAB”. Presently Kasulu town has a Mosque, Madrassah and a Hostel catering for 91 families.
We request you all to remember Marhum Alhaj Hassanali Fazel (Mzee Hasunu) with Sura-e-Fateha and let us pray to the Almighty Allah (swt) to grant him maghferat and to place his soul amongst His chosen ones. AMEEN.
