Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya would like to thank all the donors for their positive response to our Iftar Appeal for the Holy month of Ramadhan 1433 AH.
Iftar assistance was supplied to 14 Mosques, and 3,293 families benefited from the individual family ration. Iftar Ration was also distributed at Shimo la Tewa, Kwale High School and Al Mawadha Foundation in Lamu for the holy month of Ramadhan 1433 A.H.
Iftar provided to the Mosques included items of maize flour, wheat flour, beans, sugar, rice, cooking oil, yeast, tealeaves and dates. Individual family ration included maize flour, wheat flour and cooking oil.
During the holy month of Ramadhan different kinds of activities were organized at the rural centres. Daily after the maghibain prayers and Iftar, the program included Holy Qur’an recitation with tafseer and Dua-e-Iftitah. Dua Tawassul and Dua Kumayl were recited every Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to the daily lectures by Muballigheen, DVDs of the lectures by renowned scholars were also played for the mu’mineen in centres.
Five muballighs and one muballigha from the Madrasah Ameerul Mumineen, Matuga visited the centres and conducted special lectures on Fiqh masails and religious discussions. Eight students from different centres attended the Ramadhan Crash Course for a period of 25 days at WIPAHS at Kibaha in Dar es Salaam.
A special live panel discussion was aired in collaboration KBC Pwani FM Radio and Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya. Scholars – Sheikh Rijali Bwana Rijali and Sheikh Musa Shali from Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya were members of the panel. Issues discussed were related to the spiritual, social and health benefits of fasting in the holy month of Ramadhan. This was followed by phone-in session wherein the Scholars had the opportunity to answer the questions raised by the audience. This program received an overwhelming response from the audience.
In addition to this a five part series on “Hidaya ya Ramadhani” (Guidance of the holy month of Ramadhan) was aired on KBC Pwani FM Radio Program from 4th to 8th August 2012.
Eid Gifts were distributed to the children at the Madarasah after Salatul Eid ul Fitr. Lunch was organized for the community at all centres.

The generous donations received from Muminees all over the world has made it possible for us to not only bring a smile on the faces of the most deserving, but also to continue with our annual program to organize Iftar / Sehri assistance at Mosques in the Rural Centres and Coastal Centres and distributing food parcels to deserving Shia Community brethrens.
The Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya records its profound appreciation to the Federation of The KSI Jamaats of Africa, the World Federation of KSI Muslim Communities and to all institutions and individual donors for their financial support which has enabled the Mission to plan and prepare the distribution of the food ration to the families in several Rural and Coastal Centres in Mombasa in good time and reaching out to the deserving people, for assistance during this holy Month of Ramadhan.
