The Bilal Comprehensive School during the ANNUAL DAY celebrations at the end of the year honoured and awarded the top students and staff members. All parents are invited at the event. Opportunity is taken to deliver message of child upbringing and school needs in form of a variety program. This year the program was delayed due to the mourning months (Muharram and Safar).
The program was held on Sunday 3rd February 2013 at the school campus and was honored by the presence of Mr. Vahai, the Education Officer from the Ministry, and other members of the School Inspectorate Board. Well-wishers from the community also attended the event for which the management is very grateful for their support and encouragement.
The program commenced with the National Anthem and was officially opened with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and Dua e Hujjah.
The head teacher welcomed all present at the program, which began with various activities. The students were excited and elated with the science and vocational skills demonstrations and presentations. Similarly, parents derived meaning out of the teacher’s conversation on WHY CELEBRATE MAULIDI. (Milad-un-Nabii (SAWW).
The young children mimicked animals and some were donned with colorful caps singing the Islamic Alphabet song.
The students of Classes 1-3 played classroom scenes discussing all problems faced by teachers due to lack of cooperation from parents. The message was well received by the parents who were present.
The elder students sang the traditional NGONJERA with each verse ending in thanking their parents for making the right choice of bringing them to Bilal Comprehensive School.
The Administrator highlighted in her address the importance of care and love towards children and the Guest of Honour emphasized on the same.
Teachers and students were awarded gifts for best attendance throughout the year.
The best students as well as discipline awards were given out to three different age groups.
