bmmk_maulid_3The Mission, for the first time organized a Milad-un Nabi Seminar at Samburu Secondary School on 17th February 2013, where 20 secondary schools were invited, with individual number of students with attendance of about 900.  The Theme of the seminar was “PEACE and UNITY” reflecting on the life of the Holy Prophet Mohamed (SAWW)

Ustadh Salim Chimvatsi, spoke on “The Spread of Islam”

Sheikh Musa Shali, spoke on “Peace and The Prophet’s Leadership.”

There was a question and answer session after the lectures. Many questions were posed from the curious students on the prophet’s leadership in comparison with the current leadership. The Seminar was interactive and great interest was shown by the participants.

bmmk_maulid_4Local leaders from the area, teachers and other leaders who showed keen interest expressed their appreciations to the mission for organizing such a forum.

“…We all know that Islam stands for peace. Peace is the main component of Islam and is one of the most important things we need to carry on with our day to day activities….” Said the Principal Samburu Secondary School
