EID CARD DESIGN FOR THE AFRICA FEDERATION
The Africa Federation Secretariat this year once again called upon the children between the ages of 6 and 12 years to design cards for Eid ul-Fitr greetings.
Two Hundred Eighty Three (283) entries were received at the Secretariat Office; they were from Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam, Bukoba, Madagascar, Mombasa, Moshi, Nairobi and Re-Union Jamaats.
The Secretariat is impressed with the overwhelming responses received and the efforts and enthusiasm shown by these children.
The talents and creativeness put in by these children are incredible and selecting the top three entries was not an easy task for the team of selectors.
- The card designed by Sarah Riyazali Khamisa (11 Years) of Dar-es-Salaam Jamaat in Tanzania was selected for the AFED postal Eid ul-Fitr Greetings – 1434. (On the left)
- The card designed by Zain Nanji (8 years) of Nairobi Jamaat in Kenya was selected for display on the AFED Website for Eid ul-Fitr Greetings – 1434. (In the Centre)
- The card designed by Adam Jannoo Mohamad (6 years) of Antananarivo Jamaat in Madagascar was selected for the AFED Email for Eid ul-Fitr Greetings – 1434. (On the right)
We wish to express our gratitude to every one of them and our heartiest congratulations to these children for participating in this annual event, and thank them for sharing their imaginations, creativity and skills.
On behalf of the Chairman and the Office Bearers of the Africa Federation, I wish to convey our best wishes for a very happy and joyous Eid ul-Fitr to all the participants and their parents.
