BILAL CAMPUS RAMADHAN/EID ACTIVITY REPORT 2013

Bilal Comprehensive Schools Temeke undertook the following activities especially for the holy month of Ramadhan in order to ease and provide comfort to underprivileged families.
FOOD PACKETS
Food packets were distributed to the subordinate staff, Teaching Staff and to some needy neighbours as well as Maalims of nearby Masajid and Madaris. The food packets consisted of dates, beans, cooking oil, maize flour, rice, sugar, white flour, margarine, tea leaves and other sundry items sufficient for a family of five for a month. Each packet cost approximately TSH 60 000/-, (US$40).
Some donors provided special Eid food packets to the teaching and non-teaching staff, where packets of sugar, rice, beans and meat were given to them to celebrate Eid in comfort.
ANNUAL QUR’AN HIFDH PROGRAM – RAMADHAN 1434
The annual Qur’an Hifdh competition was held on Saturday, 20th July 2013 on the occasion of the wiladat of our holy Imam Hassan (as) Bilal Campus. This program was attended and witnessed by students from various Madaris and Schools and dignitaries from the BMMT,CBB and AFED.
Along with the normal Qur’an Hifdh of Juzz Amma, special memorizing test in connection with the revelations relating to the Ahlulbayt (AS) was also held. In attendance were the Chairman and the Hon. Secretary of Africa Federation, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Central Bilal Board, the Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, The Chairman of AFTAB and the Resident Aalim, Sheikh Murtadha Alidina were among other dignitaries who were present and joined in the Iftaar program with students and teachers of BCS.
Two latest model laptops were donated by the Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa (AFED) for presentation to the two best muballigheens on campus which went to Hauza teacher and the second to Nursery Section.
A FREE HAJJ package was again generously donated by Alhaj MohammadJaffer Pyarali of Hajj Caravan and was awarded to teacher Nuru Rajab from Primary Section. Alhaj Mohamedjaffer provides one Free Hajj Package worth US$5,000 every year.
BMMT conveys special thanks to the donors for their generous donations and pray to Almighty Allah (swt) to shower his blessing and reward them amply here and hereafter. Ameen

COMMEMORATION OF THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF AMEERUL MU’MINEEN (A.S.)
On 21st Ramadhan 1434 (30TH July 2013) the Bilal campus commemorated the Shahadat of Hazrat Ameerul Mu’mineen (a.s) after the salah and iftaar with lectures, marthiyas and Munnajat of Ameeul Mu’mineen, among participants were also parents and neighbours. The main speaker at the program was Sister Iffat Thawer.
HAWZATUL BILAL
Bilal students maintained daily Ramadhan program with recitation of Dua-e-Iftitah, Dua-e-Tawasul and Dua-e-Kumayl on respective days. Ramadhan Duas were translated into Kiswahili for better understanding what was being recited.
EID UL FITR
SPECIAL EID FUNCTION
Eid Bonuses were given to the teaching staff, food items like meat and food packages for Eid Lunch was distributed to the teaching and subordinate staff as well as Eid Gifts to students of Hawza and school alike
Eid salat was followed by a funfair to enjoy the day in a halal manner. Various stalls of games and food allowed the children to celebrate Eid joyfully.
HAWZATUL BILAL BIDS FAREWELL TO GRADUATES OF 2013
Every year a number of students graduate from the three year foundation course at Hawzatul Bilal to move to Hawzatul Qaim in Tanga for the 5-year program.
This year, the graduation program was held on Friday 23rd August 2013 in the Husainya Hall at the Bilal Complex in Temeke with the Resident Aalim of Dar es Salaam Jamaat, Sheikh Murtadha Alidina, as the Chief Guest.
The occasion was also graced by representatives from Africa Federation, AFTAB, Central Bilal Board and Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania. Both the incoming and outgoing BMMT chairmen were present at the function.
The program began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by welcome note from the Mudheer of Hawzatul Bilal, Shk. Amiri Kasonso
BMMT Chairman, Brother Riyaz Nasser gave a brief message advising the Graduates to inculcate and develop sound and proactive approach to their faiths, which is absolute faith in Allah (swt) and the love for Ahlulbayt (as).
Shk. Alidina gave a short speech in Arabic focusing on true knowledge and the status that goes with its acquisition, which was then translated by The Mudheer for the public to understand.
Campus Administrator, Mrs. Karim Manji, honoured the outgoing Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, Br Shabbir Somji with a poem specially composed for him, as a token of appreciation followed by presentations for best Students in Academics, Discipline and Good Attendance in classes.
Each Graduate was presented with a graduation cap, course certificate, a copy of the Holy Quran, a copy of Mafateeh ul Jinaan, and a cash gift of Shs. 100,000, the later donated by the Central Bilal Board of Africa Federation (CBB).

The Graduation program concluded with Duae-e-Wahdah, Jamaat prayers followed by lunch.
