Arusha Jamaat – Al-Mahdi Commercial/Housing Project
The Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi accompanied by the Hon. Treasurer Alhaj Mohamed Hemani travelled to Arusha on Friday 1st November 2013 to attend the Ground Breaking and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the KSI Jamaat Arusha Al-Mahdi Commercial/Housing Project.
The Project is being developed on the Jamaat Plot No. 13, Sokoine Road/Swahili Street in Arusha Town. The 12 floors Building will consist of a basement parking area, commercial areas on the ground and first floor, and residential flats on 10 floors. The residential area shall have 10 Three bedroom apartments and 20 Two bedroom apartments.
The Project is expected to be ready in two years and has been specifically launched to cater for the present demand of housing at reasonable cost for members of our community in Arusha.
The Jamaat will sell the flats to the Community members at reasonable price; the criteria for the sale of the flats will be laid down by the Jamaat.
The Africa Federation has facilitated a bridging loan to Arusha Jamaat of United States Dollars Five Hundred Thousand (US $ 500,000) to get the project off the ground.
The Function was held on Saturday 2nd November 2013 morning and was attended by the Jamaat President and officials, past Presidents of Arusha Jamaat and members of the Jamaat.
We wish the Arusha Jamaat a very successful – Al Mahdi Commercial/Housing project, we pray to Allah (SWT) to grant the leadership tawfeeqat and barakat in this project.
AFED – Al-Qa’eem Housing Project in Arusha
Earlier on the morning of Saturday, 2nd November 2013, the AFED office bearers together with the Arusha Jamaat officials and the Al-Qa’eem Project committee members visited AFED Al-Qa’eem Housing Project to see the progress of the construction underway.
The AFED Al-Qa’eem Housing Project is located on Plot 9 Jacaranda Road in Arusha town. It is an eight storey building consisting of 24 flats (each floor will have – two flats of 2 bedrooms each and one flat of 3 bedrooms each). This Housing Project is for the members of our community in Arusha.

The AFED office bearers were pleased to witness a good progress, the contractor is now undertaking the interior works, tiling, cabinets etc. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the Jamaat for their support, and to the Al Qa’eem Housing Project Committee for their dedication and cooperation in this project.
PARKING AREA MOSQUE COMPOUND ARUSHA
The Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi and the Hon. Treasurer Alhaj Mohamed Hemani attended the formal Opening Ceremony of the Parking Area constructed at the Mosque Compound which is utilized by members of the Community whilst attending the various programs at the Mosque/Imambara.
