CIRCULAR NO: JMT/74/14
The AFED Secretariat is requesting the worldwide KSI community to raise awareness of this important Day of 15th Sha’ban, and also the AFED Solidarity Day.
The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.) has said that during the night of 15th Sha’ban the Almighty takes decisions in the matters of sustenance, life and death and welfare of the people.
The honour of this night touches the heights and elevation as in the same night at the time of seher (pre-dawn) the Twelfth successor of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.), The Awaited Imam, al Mahdi al Hujjah (ATFS) was born.
To celebrate this blessed night and day of 15th Sha’ban with an act of charity and benevolence, the Chairman of the Africa Federation appeals to all community members of the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri fraternity worldwide to donate their full One Day earning to the Africa Federation for a noble cause of charity.
“Those who give to charity by night and by day, secretly and publicly, receive their recompense from their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” [Holy Qur’an – 2:274].
The Secretariat has appointed an ad-hoc Committee, headed by Br. Farhan Yusuf to manage this event, also to liaise with the constituent Jamaats and the AFED Councillors in the region. We would request the youths (girls and boys) of our Community to come forward and support in raising awareness for this noble cause. Further details on this will be circulated soon.
Contributions towards this Fund can be made as follows:
- Jamaats outside Africa through their respective Jamaats or the Regional Federations.
- Jamaats of Madagascar through Conseil Regional of Madagascar (CROI).
- Jamaats of Reunion through Union des Associations Khodjas Shia Isnashri de la Reunion (UAKSIR).
- Jamaats within mainland Africa through their respective Jamaats or directly to the AFED Secretariat by contacting the office or email: secretariat@africafederation.org
This is a unique opportunity to earn Allah’s pleasure and blessings to assist the less fortunate and deserving families of our community members for their basic needs. We request all the Jamaats to initiate and promote collections to start from 1st to 27th Sha’ban 1435 AH (30th May to 25th June 2014).
