BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA HEAD OFFICE ORGANIZES INTERFAITH IFTAR PROGRAM IN DAR ES SALAAM
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania head office organized an interfaith Iftar program on Sunday, 29th day of the holy month of Ramadhan 1435 AH (27th July, 2014) at Delhi Darbar Restaurant, in Upanga area, Dar es Salaam.
His Eminence, the Mufti of Tanzania, Alhaj Sheikh Shabani Issa Simba blessed the occasion with his presence as the Guest of Honor at this program.
Dignitaries, Guests and delegations from various communities, organizations and Imams from 50 mosques in Dar es Salaam were invited to this program.
It was a good opportunity for the Muslim brothers from different backgrounds and experiences in meeting and exchanging views and ideas on various topics, including the human resources development, education and economics. Good net-working amongst the invited guests and invitees from our community was seen; the program opened new avenues and strengthened further the existing relationships with our Muslim brothers in Tanzania.
Adhaan for Maghrib prayers was called and the Representative of the Mufti of Tanzania led the congregation – Jama’a prayers. The photograph below shows Maghrib prayers being held under the open sky.
At the Iftar, the Representative of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania spoke briefly to welcome and thank the Guest of Honour, His Eminence, the Mufti of Tanzania, His Excellency, the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran, the Imams and Sheikhs from different Mosques in Dar es Salaam, the Chairman of the Africa Federation, the President of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, the Chairman of Central Bilal Board, the Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, office bearers and members from the Africa Federation, Africa Federation Tabligh Board, Central Bilal Board, K.S.I. Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania and the invited guests.
Representative of the Mufti of Tanzania in his response appreciated the kind gesture of Bilal Muslim Mission to organize the iftar and inviting guests from all sects of the Muslim Ummah to congregate during the break of fast of the holy month of Ramadhan, he stressed that this kind of get-together is an important platform in building stronger unity amongst Muslims in Tanzania. He prayed for the well being of all Tanzanians and for peace and tranquility to continue to prevail in our beloved country – the United Republic of Tanzania.
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania presented to each and every one the gift packet containing the Holy Qur’an, Mussalah (prayer mat) and Islamic Calendar Hijri 1436.
Similar programs were held in Kigoma and Mwanza branches of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania.
We pray to Allah (swt) to shower His mercy and blessings and to reward abundantly all those who made efforts and worked tirelessly to make the program a success, Insha’allah this will now be an annual event and on a larger scale, involving all Muslims brothers and sisters. We also take this opportunity to thank our parent body, the Federation of K.S.I. Jamaats of Africa for their moral and financial support towards the cause of Islam and Unity.
