A visit was made to Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania – Tanga Branch on Wednesday, 29th October, 2014 (4th Muharram 1436 AH). The visit was led by the Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi who was accompanied by AFED Hon. Secretary, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan and the Central Bilal Board Chairman (CBB), Alhaj Mohsin Lalji (popularly known as Sheni).
The first stop was at the Tanga Branch Centre in town, they were received by the Chairman of Bilal Tanga Branch, Alhaj Hasnain Hassanali.
A meeting was held with the Tanga Branch Chairman to discuss various pertinent issues, the current and future developments of Tabligh activities in Tanga region.
Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi commended the excellent work being done by Tanga Bilal Branch, he expressed great satisfaction to see the high level of commitment and dedication of the teachers and the staff at the Hawza, the delegation also met with some Maalims from other Centres/Mosques of Bilal Tanga and students.
Bilal Tanga Branch is also managing the Pangani Mosque which has been renovated recently with the kind support of the family of Hasnain Hassanali, the Mosque and Imambargha is now used for Bilal Tabligh activities and Madressah.
At Tanga Head Quarters of Bilal, there is a Mosque, Madressah, Hawza, Library and Boarding House which can accommodate upto 30 male students. There is a separate Boarding House for the girls and there are separate seven rooms for married couples. Presently there are 40 students in the Hawza and 1,000 students in the Madressah. All teachers receive proper training and monthly reviews are being carried out by the head of the Hawza and Administrators.
Tanga is a Region made up of four Districts which are Mkinga, Pangani, Korogwe and Tanga Mjini.
After Zohrain prayers, the delegation visited five Centres of Bilal Tanga up to the border of Horohoro. The AFED delegation accompanied by Maalim Idrissa Ebrahim visited Geza, Duga Matoroni, Kilulu, Magodi Mosque, Mzingi Mosque and Mpirani.
We are very thankful to the Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission – Tanga Branch Alhaj Hasnain Hassanali for the cooperation and support provided which made the visit smooth and comfortable.
Our appreciation to Sheikh Idrissa Ebrahim for accompanying the AFED Delegation on the visits to the Centres, which were quite interesting and informative.
