A visit was made to Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania – Arusha Branch on Tuesday, 28th October, 2014 led by the Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi and the Hon. Secretary, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, they were accompanied by the Bilal Arusha Branch Chairman, Alhaj Hameed Sheriff.
At the Centre, the delegation was met by Maalim Mohamed Ahmed and Maalim Ramadhani Kibwana who are in forefront running the Centre.
“Very attractive and well maintained Centre of Bilal Muslim Mission in Tanzania ever seen so far” – commented Alhaj Aunali Khalfan. The visitors were impressed by the greenery and the landscape within the Centre.
AFED Office Bearers found the Centre is lacking room for expansion, there is a need to look into long term developmental plans for expansion of the Centre, there is a great potential for Tabligh and in assisting the local community in the area.
At the Centre, there is Nursery School, Madressah, Ladies Elderly Classes, Computer and Stitching Classes. Also, Majlises are held from 5th to 12th of Muharram with a good attendance of about 150 and on some days goes up to 300 people who attend Majlises.
The activities at the Centre include monthly Majlis/Lecture program held on one of the Saturdays of the month, attendance is between 150 to 300 people.
Best Worker for male and female, and Best Student competition is held annually at the Centre with attractive prizes are given to the winners.
A Library with well stocked of books on different are also available at the Centre for the students, teachers and others.
We are very thankful to the Chairman of Bilal Centre Arusha, Alhaj Hameed Sheriff and the Management staff a wonderful hospitality extended to the AFED delegation.
We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant the community leaders, volunteers and members of our community further inspiration and more strength to continue with the noble work they do for the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and to ascend to greater heights of success in their endeavors – Ameen.
