On 15th March, 2015 (23rd Jamadil Awwal 1436 AH), marked the official opening of Az Zahra Hall near the KSI Jamaat Kabrastan along Ngarenaro clinic road in Arusha. It was attended by the AFED Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, Hon. Secretary, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, past Chairman of AFED, Alhaj Ramzan Nanji, AFED Nominated Councillors, Managing Committee Members and Trustees Arusha Jamaat and community members of Arusha Jamaat.
The cost of the acquisition of the land and construction cost of the building was provided by the family of Mawji of Arusha. We are very thankful for their philanthropic support in this noble project.
The program commenced with recitation of verses from the Holy Qurán, Hadise Kisa, Sura-e-Yasin and Munujaát by a group of youth of Arusha Jamaat, followed by a poem from the Resident Aalim.
In his welcome address, the President of Arusha Jamaat, Alhaj Ghullamhussein Mukhtar gave a brief background of the project and explained on the future plans for vertical development of the building. He thanked Mawji family for their kind support and cooperation to Arusha Jamaat.

On behalf of the Chairman and office bearers of Africa Federation, we sincerely thank the Arusha Jamaat for the honour extended to AFED. We wish also to convey our appreciation to Mawji family for their support to bring this project to fruition, we hope and pray that the plan for further development of this building takes off soon for the benefit of our community members in Arusha.
We request for Sura-e-Fateha for Gulamhussein and Zahrabai Gulamhussein Mawji, Marhumeens of Mawji Family and all Marhumeens. May Allah (SWT) grant them maghferat and rest their souls amongst His chosen ones.
May He shower His continuous blessings upon the family members and all those members who sacrificed their time and resources in this project for their long life, good health and success in their endeavors – Ameen.
