The Secretariat is pleased to announce that the Sports Council has adjudged the Sports Persons for the Year 2014, they are:
Br. Ali Shariff of Dar-es-Salaam – Sportsman of the Year
&
Sis Faiza Somji of Arusha – Sportswoman of the Year
Nominations were received from Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam and Mombasa Jamaats. We urge other Jamaats to participate in this Competition.
The Other Nominees were:
Sportsman: Sajjad Sadiq Ladha of Arusha
Sportswoman: Fatema Zehra Abdallah Lalji of Dar-es-Salaam
Fatema Hussein Mohamed Gulamhussein of Mombasa
The Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, the Africa Federation Office Bearers and the Chairman of Sports Council, Alhaj Mahmood Somji and his Committee Members wish to convey their best wishes and congratulate the winners, nominees and their Jamaats for these wonderful achievements in sports.
