SELF-DEVELOPMENT AND TEAMS PROGRAMME
BILAL MUSLIM MISSION TANZANIA
10th – 11th AUGUST 2018 & 2nd – 3rd NOVEMBER 2018
Self-Development and Teams Programme is one of the many programmes offered by the Africa Federation Capacity Building Group (CBG) aimed to equip participants with one of the most important qualities of a Muslim- to be Self-Aware, Manage and be Team players.
The 10th and 11th August 2018 saw CBG facilitators Br. Shabbirhussein Khalfan and Sr. Shama Dewji in collaboration with Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania conducting a Self-Development and Teams Programme for a group of 15 senior Administrative Staff with skills towards upgrading their understanding on Self, effective teamwork, learning, growth and development of Self and Teams in order to achieve BMMT’s aims and goals more effectively.

Similarly, a second workshop was conducted by CBG Facilitators on the 2nd and 3rd November 2018 for a group of 15 Bilal Hawza Teachers exclusively in Swahili language on ‘Mpango wa Maendeleo ya Binafsi na Timu’. The Hawza teachers greatly benefited from this programme held mainly in the local language, thus easier for them to grasp the concepts.
It has been most gratifying to know, both the sessions were received with zeal and already show promising output. We very much hope that this ongoing learning journey will enhance their personal growth and benefit their Organization and Community.
Both the batches that have undergone training currently will receive further training after 3 months to upgrade and build on skills acquired.
On behalf of the Capacity Building Group (CBG) of AFED, we wish to extend our appreciation to Central Bilal Board and the Managing Committee of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania for taking the initiative to empower their Administrative Staff and Hawza Teachers with essential development and teamwork skills.
Our sincere gratitude to Alhaj Muslim Meghji for availing Conference Room including all facilities at Sleep Inn Hotel for both the programmes.
We wish to acknowledge the Africa Federation Office Bearers for their cooperation and support enabling us to organize such training workshops.
Asante Sana, to all the participants who took time to participate in these 2-day workshops.
